By: Patel, A MMaterial type: TextTextPublication details: Surat Holistic science research centre 2021Description: 378 pSubject(s): philosophy- hinduDDC classification: 181.4 Summary: In 1908 a man named Ambalal Muljibhai Patel was born in what is now Gujarat, India. He worked as a successful civil contractor in and around Bombay. But one day at the age of 50 he was sitting in an Indian train station (in Surat), and within 50 minutes something very wonderful and extraordinary happened. He himself later described it as one of the rare spontaneous Enlightenment. Over time he became a spiritual teacher in his environment, was given the name Dadaji, Dadashri or Dada Bhagwan, and until 1988 he tirelessly answered the many questions of people who came to him from different walks of life. He wrote down very little himself, but many of his answers were recorded on tapes, later copied and also translated into other languages. Verily, such an enlightened one is not easy to understand when trying to explain the inexplicable. He sees this world with completely different eyes. On reading the ‘Dialogues with Dadaji on Life & Living’, one is struck with wonderment at the wisdom and simplicity that lies at the root of the thinking shared by Dadaji A. M. Patel. His speeches give a rare insight that is normally obtained after listening to great Philosophers, distinguished Scientists, selfless Spiritualists and realized Souls. He at once combines the most complex truths into very understandable ideas and presents it in a logical manner, with examples from day-to-day life that everyone can understand. The question-answer mode of imparting one’s thinking makes us to recollect the oral tradition of imparting subtle teaching as communicated by the Upanisadic seers, the Buddha and Socrates. The whole thing is most wonderful and gives us hope that with the overall understanding of the inner science of life & living everyone can elevate one’s state of being in modern times with the absolute understanding derived from the great mystic of recent times.
