The book comprises twenty-one selected research papers, some of which have been presented in the seminars or conferences but remained unpublished. This book is not just an act of preservation but it is, in fact, a comprehensive presentation of current research on Haryana, which will prove highly informative and thought-provoking to scholars, in the history and culture of Haryana. The scope of this book is vast-from Stone Age to the modern times. One of the main objectives of this book is to bring forward the research being conducted in Haryana or related to Haryana that is not often well published. We also aim to bring out cutting-edge research in scientific, technical and methodological field to the focus area of this book. As a result, our understanding of the subject is wanting in clarity and, more importantly, fullness on several; counts; and many questions, which the present generation asks to satiate their fresh interests in their past, remain unanswered in parts, if not wholly. The present book seeks to supply the desideratum because of which this situation has arisen.
