Summary, etc | Indian myths and legends are replete with stories of brave princes, but they rarely speak of the princesses. The legend of Suriratna, a princess of Ayodhya has, however, been preserved in South Korean mythology. Princess Suriratna is believed to have travelled across the treacherous seas and overcome many challenges to be united with Kim Suro, a brilliant Korean warrior. Today, millions of Koreans trace their lineage to this union and hundreds visit Ayodhya every year to pay their respects to the land they believe their Queen originated from. |
